In my work I like to create a feeling and a mood, to encourage the viewer to see something in a different way. My want is to take them back to that childlike imagination, a curiosity in the ordinary, and to evoke an emotional response.
Greenery is something that seems to be a recurring interest, whether it is foliage or grasses, as to me it is like a stage curtain that when pulled back will lead to another world. I like a suggestion of possibility.
Landscapes are forever changing and to catch it in a moment to see its beauty even on a rainy day. A tube of toothpaste squeezed and oozing its inners has a delightful elegance despite its domestic normality.
“The viewer is forced to see the world through a child’s eye, where the idea of real is easily transformed by fantasy and imagination.”
